1 Thessalonians 5:17 KJV — Pray without ceasing.
Matthew 26:41 KJV — Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.
If you don’t pray Satan will make a mess of you. Prayer is that one thing that;
1. Helps you through temptations and challenges:
When I look back into my life I see how prayers have sustained me in both the good and the bad times. When the devil came after Peter all the Lord Jesus Christ could do was to pray for him. The Bible says watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation. More often than not praying is the one thing that will help you in challenges. The Bible says in James 5:13 that anybody who is afflicted should pray.
2. Helps to preserve your faith:
In Luke 18:1-9, we learn that if the son of man shall find faith in the earth when he returns, then we should pray. Men ought always to pray and not to faint. Your faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God; but your faith will be sustained by your prayer.
3. Births answers:
The Bible says you have not because you ask not. Those who ask receive. If we, being evil, know how to give gifts to our children when they ask, how much more our Father in heaven. When we pray, God hears and answers us. Prayer is key and supreme.
Stay blessed and pray without ceasing.
