[Ephesians 5:25-33 KJV]“Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; that he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, that he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.”
“So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself. For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church: for we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.”
“For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh. This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church. Nevertheless, let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband.“
I want to exhort you to pray for the body of Christ, the church! The Bible teaches us that our Lord Jesus Christ loves the church, and gave Himself for it. The Lord died for the church that He might present it to Himself a glorious church that has no spots. The Lord is looking for that glorious church and He will do anything to restore the glory and shine back to the church.
God wants a church that has no spots, no wrinkles, no blemish or any such things. Christ is committed to removing all these stains from the church. He is committed to washing us in His blood. Let us pray that Jesus will wash us anew in His blood. Pray that Christ will restore the glitz and glam and beauty to the church. Pray that Christ will heal His church and remove every spot and wrinkle and blemish and such things from the church.
God want to find a sanctified, glorious, holy and blood-washed church. God wants a sanctified and separated church. God is building a glorious and blood-washed church. Let us lift our voices and hearts to pray and ask God to raise and present us to Himself as a glorious, separated, sanctified blood-washed church. May the Lord sanctify us by His Spirit! May He beautify His church! May God restore the glory to the church!
The Lord wants to be one spirit with us; He wants to nourish and cherish His church. The Lord has made us of His flesh and bones. The Lord is not just one spirit with us but our bodies are members of His body; so then whatever we do with our bodies involve Jesus.
[1 Corinthians 6:15 KJV] “Know ye not that your bodies are the members of Christ? shall I then take the members of Christ, and make them the members of an harlot? God forbid.”
Many of us are subjecting the Lord to many things. Let us pray that the church shall begin to understand that we are members of His body. Pray that the Lord would continue to nourish and cherish His church. Pray! In the name of Jesus!
Stay blessed
