Many of us have failed and are not rising because of the people in our circle. Our nemesis have been our friends and close allies. Many have suffered more at the hands of those we trusted and dined with than at the hands of our enemies.
- Ask God to surround you with people who stand up for you in your absence.
- Pray that God will give you people that will lift you up when you fall, not those who push you down.
- Ask God to connect you with people who complement and complete you to face life. Every man needs an Aaron!
- Pray that God will bring people who arrange stones for your hands when you get weary, not those waiting to take your place. (Aaron and Hur)
- Pray that God will bring people who follow not because of what they stand to gain but what meaning they bring to your life. (Ruth in Naomi’s life)
- Pray that God will bring people who will both serve and preserve your legacy. (Joshua and Moses; Judah and Onan)
