Romans 10:13-15 KJV — For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. [14] How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?
[15] And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!
God has chosen to save the lost by their faith. Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. The single step towards salvation is calling upon the name of the Lord on whom you have believed. The power is in the prayer for help.
It’s however nearly impossible for men to call upon someone they don’t know. When. You are hungry, you are likely to order food that you know and have heard about. One day, I travelled for a little event in Nairobi. I was new in town and wanted to buy food from a restaurant. Because I was not familiar with the East African dishes, I requested that I be directed to any Ghanaian or Nigerian restaurant. The good Samaritan who gave me directions, went the extra mile by informing me that I could order for Ugali from any food joint, because it tasted just like Eba or Gari. I ended up eating Ugali because, someone introduced the dish to me.
That is salvation work, people may believe and call upon God if they knew and believed in him. Let us pray that God will send us; give us a message and power to go. May the Lord send us and go with us.
When we respond to the call to seek and save the lost, Lord imparts beauty upon us. How beautiful are the feet of them that bring good news. May the Lord give you beauty for ashes, as you step out to preach the gospel. May the Lord send us to send the light and fire! May the Lord speak and cause us to desire to do the work of evangelism. We cannot preach except we are sent! May God send us with His word, power and presence!
Prophetic Prayer
- Pray that the Lord will send you to the nations with His word and power!
- Pray that God will anoint us with the Holy Ghost and with power! Pray that God will go with us to confirm His message with signs following!
- Pray that the Lord of the harvest will bless those in the vineyard and send more labourers!
