[1 Thessalonians 5:17 KJV] “Pray without ceasing.”
The scriptures do not mince words when the Apostle admonishes the believer to pray without ceasing. He wants us to pray as long and as many times as is possible. We must walk praying, sleep praying, sit praying and just keep praying. The church must seize the opportunity to pray whenever it is possible to pray.
Prayer is communing with God; praying is talking to God; speaking out to your hearing believing that there is a person somewhere in outer space and within you who can both hear and answer you.
I believe that men ought to pray always; men ought to pray without ceasing because;
- It is the path to unsearchable knowledge. (See Jeremiah 33:3). Those who pray step into unsearchable knowledge.
- It is the access to sustain your faith. The son of man will find faith upon His return if we pray without ceasing (See Luke 18:1-6).
- Prayer is the key to receiving (See Matthew 7:7). Those who ask receive. Many of us don’t have because we don’t ask. Even when we ask, we ask amiss!
- Prayer is the key to greater peace (See Philippians 4:6). When we pray, the peace of God that surpasses all understanding guards and protects our hearts in Christ Jesus!
- It is the key to escaping temptation. The Bible teaches us to pray, that we don’t enter into temptation. Prayer is the route to overcome temptation.
- Prayer is the key to bringing forth victory over anything that is trying to hinder you. Certain things “do not come forth, except by prayer and fasting”. Prayer deals with the impossible.
Stay blessed and pray without ceasing. It is the master key to great results.
Amen
