Prayer is the art of communicating with God and yielding to His sovereignty.
“Pray without ceasing.” (1 Thessalonians 5:17 KJV)
Prayer is speaking into the air believing that because of the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, God can both hear and do what we are asking of Him. Prayer must be vocal. Prayer must be by faith. Prayer must be directed towards God with the trust that God will hear and help.
It is most pathetic that though God is willing to hear and answer our prayers, many have not received the grace and answers to their prayers because;
They do not ask:
James 4:1-2 teaches that many of us are fighting and warring but yet lack because we are not praying. If we don’t ask, we will not receive what we desire.
Many ask amiss to consume upon their lust:
God will supply all of our needs according to his riches in glory. If you ask amiss, your prayer will not be answered. James 4:3 is emphatic on this. We must pray about what we need and not what we lust after.
Others pray but don’t receive because they ask in doubt:
James 1:5-6 teaches that we should ask from the Lord in faith. A man who wavers is unstable in all of his ways. That man cannot receive anything from God. We must always pray in faith.
Mark 11:22-24 teaches that when we ask what desire in faith, we receive answers. You will receive the answers! God will do a new work in your life! He will build you up and take you to the next level. As we learn to pray God will visit us. As we find time to join the HighCity Church in prayer every last Friday of the month, we will see greater grace and output.
Let’s give hope, prayer, and encouragement below. Post a comment & let the discussion continue in the discussion box below.
Stay blessed
I love you
