When we pray, God hears us and answers all that we desire of Him. Why then aren’t many people receiving answers as they pray? We want to discuss the barriers to prayer and pray them down.
Prayerlessness
The first barrier to answered prayer is not praying at all. The Bible says we do not have because we don’t ask. The first barrier to prayer is not asking. When we ask, He hears and answers us.
Praying amiss
The second barrier is asking amiss to consume upon your lust. Your prayers may remain unanswered because your asking is not aligned with the will of God. When we pray according to the will of God, He answers us.
Lack of faith
The third barrier is asking without faith. The Bible says a double-minded person is unstable in all of his ways. When we pray, we must ask in faith, doubting nothing. When you pray without faith, your prayers may remain unanswered. You may pray that the Lord will help your unbelief.
Lack of importunity
The fourth barrier is asking without steadfastness or importunity. The widow in the story of Luke 18 kept on asking till answers came. We must pray until something happens.
Dishonouring your helpers
The fifth barrier to prayer is dishonouring your helpers. The truth is God does not work in a vacuum; He works through people and agents. Hence, when you dishonor your helpers, you block your own mercies and divine help.
Spiritual Barriers
The sixth barrier to prayer is spiritual barriers. The prince of Persia, and of Medes, and of Greece withstood the answers to Daniel’s prayer. Daniel had to keep praying until he had a breakthrough in the realms of the spirit. All these barriers must fall in the name of Jesus Christ!
