[Matthew 6:12 KJV] “And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors“
I believe one of the fundamental needs of men and humanity in general is forgiveness. Every man has a need to forgive and to be forgiven, hence the need to spend this day praying specially for forgiveness. I want us to pray and ask God to forgive our debt.
As we spend the time seeking God for forgiveness and subsequent cleansing; we must understand that there is a condition. God will forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. God wants to fill the earth with righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Ghost.
- Pray that the Lord will prepare your heart to forgive those who have trespassed against us as Christ forgave us.
- Admit your sins and iniquity before the Lord. If we say we are without sin, then we are liars and the truth is not in us.
- Pray that God will forgive us our sins and trespasses. Pray that He will cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Pray that God will wash us from uncleanness.
- Pray that the Lord will deliver us from blood-guiltiness and shame.
- Pray and break any curses that have taken effective because of our sins. Rebuke any demon that is enforcing the curses!
- Pray for restoration
I believe that you are forgiven and the Lord is turning away your captivity. You will see the goodness of the Lord and be blessed.
