[Mark 16:15-20 KJV] “And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. [16] He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. [17] And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; [18] They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover”.
[19] “So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God. [20] And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen”.
We have a calling and mandate to preach the gospel. That is what we are called to do. It is the core mandate of the church. We are called to evangelise the world. Evangelism does not mean going to make converts but it is simply the art of preaching and publishing the Good News. We want to spend our resources and time on preaching the Good News. The Good News is no news except it is preached. I believe the Lord wants us to raise a church that is committed to preaching the gospel.
Here are some reasons why you must preach the gospel:
As a witness to the nations:
Inasmuch as the Lord wants us to win the world, He has also made room for the fact that some people may never believe our gospel. However, the gospel must be preached for a witness to the nations. This means that even if your preaching does not make converts, it is still a witness to the nations. So the gospel must be preached at all cost. There must be a witness that the gospel has been preached to every creature. Let us keep preaching even if no one is listening. It is the will of God. It still has a great purpose in kingdom promotion.
“And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come” (Matthew 24:14 KJV)
Preaching the gospel is the only Biblically recommended way of saving the world from eternal damnation:
Those who believe the gospel we preach shall be saved. That is what the Lord assures. I want to give myself and my time to this noble agenda. I want to spend my time preaching and sharing the good news of the cross with the world around me.
Thirdly, five supernatural signs shall follow them that believe:
They shall cast out devils, heal the sick, pick up serpents and scorpions, not be harmed by deadly poison, and speak with new tongues. These signs shall fill the world as they follow those who believe the gospel. As we speak the gospel is manifested.
As we preach the gospel, the gospel happens.
We must preach the gospel at all cost. The Lord is counting on us to preach; let us arise and preach.
God bless you, I love you!

Prayer:
Dear Father,
Prepare us as evangelists to reach the world around us. Send more labourers to the vineyard. Let Your word have it’s free course with our hearers as it has had with us. Deliver us from wicked and unreasonable men. Stretch forth Your hands and heal the sick. So that the many who would not believe except they see signs shall also be saved. Lord, please stretch Your hands and heal the sick and oppressed. Thank Lord!Amen!
