Protect your destiny from these 5 destiny killers

Romans 8:28-30 KJV — And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. [29] For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. [30] Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.

We know that all things work together to the good of those who love God and are the called according to His purpose. Everyone God called, was called according to a purpose. God has a reason for calling each of us. We are here to discover that purpose and to walk in it. We know that all things will work together to our good, even those things that were sent to kill us will only sharpen our skills on the weapons of war.

We know that all things are working together for our good. From betrayal, to being exposed like David who killed Uriah and took Bathsheba, to insults, rejections, heart breaks, abandonment, shame, wealth and even being sold into slavery like Joseph; all things will work together to our good.

We know that all things are working together to our good because those God did foreknow, He also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover whom He did predestinate, them He also called: and whom He called, them He also justified: and whom He justified, them He also glorified.

You are predestined and you must protect that destiny. We want to study five things that can kill yourself destiny; this is the time to protect your destiny. There are five things that can kill your destiny.

  1. Iniquity:

Lucifer was created to be an anointed, cherub perfect in beauty but fell from grace to grass because of iniquity. The Bible says he was perfect in beauty till iniquity was found in him. Iniquity can bring you from grace to grass. High mindedness is one of the most dangerous iniquities; pride comes before a fall. Iniquity, especially pride is a subtle but very dangerous snare or trap. Pride is a subtle weapon. It affects the way you think, speak and act. Beware! (See Ezekiel 28:13-20)

2. Listening to the wrong voice:

Adam, a man created to have dominion and replenish the earth was cursed because he listened to his wife instead of listening to God. He lost his home, authority, fellowship with God, and even his very life. Listening to another voice instead of the voice you are supposed to be listening to is dangerous. That is how most rebellion and disloyalty begins (See Genesis 3:17)

3. Despising the Lord! Honoring your children and family above God:

The high priest Eli was cursed with a curse that nobody had received. How can you honour your children above God? Eli was rejected and the priesthood taken away from his family because he honoured his children above God. In 1 Samuel 2:29-3, the Lord explains why he was rejecting Eli. Eli’s house was destined to judge Israel and to lead as high priests but that was aborted because his sons despised God (See 1 Samuel 3:10-19).

4. Profanity:

The fourth thing that can derail any beautiful destiny is profanity. It appears like the sins of Eli but this is despising sacred things. Esau, the first born of Isaac lost the birthright’s blessings because he despised spiritual things. He valued pottage above birthright. He said “what is birthright to a dying man“. Most people might lose value and abort their destiny because they despise sacred things.

5. Demonic possession:

Judas lost his bishopric because, the devil entered into him to betray his Lord. Most often than not people are moved by devils to do things that are injurious to their destiny. I pray that you will be liberated from any demonic influence that feeds your anger, bitterness, and greed.

Stay blessed

Today’s Prayer

May the Lord give you grace to protect your destiny from destiny killers! I decree that you shall escape the pitfalls of Lucifer, Adam, Esau, Eli, and Judas! These were all personalities that lost their places in life because, they allowed these pitfalls to reap them. Receive the grace to escape in the name of Jesus Christ!

Amen
