The seed for today is to protect your peace. The number one problem in the world today is mental health challenges! All over the world depressions and anxiety is the number challenge I find among all generations and the races of men.
According to the world health organization report, as at 2019, there were about 970 million people suffering from one mental health challenge or the other. This translates to 1 in every 8 people on earth.
I believe that the least blessing you can offer your soul is to protect your mental health. The challenge is real and we must protect our mental health. To protect yourself do these.
1. Read your Bible every day:
If possible read your Bible once every year; from Genesis to revelation. Psalm 119:165 KJV says “Great peace have they which love thy law: And nothing shall offend them“. You find greater peace when you love the law of God.
2. Stay your mind on God:
Focus your thoughts on the Lord, because the Lord preserves those who keep their minds and thoughts on Him. Isaiah 26:3 KJV says “Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee”.
3. Be moderate in all you do:
Be moderate in your expectations of life of other people. Many of the people are relating with you because of what they can get out of you and the relationship they have with you. Philippians 4:4-7 KJV says “Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice. [5] Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand.”
4. Be anxious for nothing:
In all things pray! Let prayer be a normal part of your life through all the changing scenes of life. Whether in joy or in pain, pray! Philippians 4 continues [6] “Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. [7] And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.“
4. Think about the right things:
Be intentional and conscious about it. Don’t allow your mind to stray! Focus your thoughts on the right things! Philippians 4:8-9 KJV says “Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. [9] Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.“
5. Be content with such as you have and keep grinding with grit:
Don’t compare yourself with one another, it’s foolish!
Let the peace of God rule in your heart through singing and making melodies in your heart: Colossians 3:14-17 KJV says “And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness. [15] And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.
[16] Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. [17] And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.“
Stay blessed and Happy
