2 Corinthians 10:3-6 KJV — “For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: [4] (for the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) [5] casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; [6] and having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.“
A stronghold is a place that is fortified to protect it from attack; or a place where a cause or belief is strongly established.
There are usually strongholds in our lives we must pull down using the weapon of our warfare. Our weapons are not carnal; they are mighty through God.
It’s time to pull down any lofty idea or opinion.
Lofty ideas and opinions that exalt itself against the knowledge of God must be subdued. These are the hiding places for demons. Don’t entertain lofty ideas that stand contrary to the knowledge.
Pull down lies of satan which have become established in your thinking but are actually false beliefs.
Eve got trapped by the devil in the garden because she allowed, the lies of the enemy. Many of us are getting defeated in life because we have bought into the devil’s lies. This is time to cross-check every claim against the word of God. Let the word of God become the standard to measure truth.
Demolish philosophies and vain deciets after the traditions of men
Colossians 2:8 KJV — “Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.“
Mark 7:7-9 KJV — “Howbeit in vain do they worship me, Teaching for doctrines the commandments of men. [8] For laying aside the commandment of God, ye hold the tradition of men, as the washing of pots and cups: and many other such like things ye do. [9] And he said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition.“
Don’t confrom to the world, but be transformed by the renewing of the mind.
Romans 12:1-2 KJV — “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. [2] And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.“
Lay aside besetting sin and addictions. May you recieve grace to overcome every addiction in life
Hebrews 12:1-2 KJV — “Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, [2] looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.“
Remember to pray that;
- God will gracious illuminate your heart and mind with the truth. Pray that we shall gain understanding into His word. The word is the sword of the spirit to fight false claims of darkness.
- God will give us the courage and boldness to declare the word over every area of your life. Let us preach the truth that God reveals to us without fear or favour. Arise and speak! Be in season and out of season!
- God will confirm your decree and declaration with signs following. May mighty works accompany your faith and ministry!
Before Phillip came to Samria in Acts, the whole city believed that Simon the sorcerer was actually the power of God. The city was under his spell because they believed he was the power of God. A revival began when Philip began to preach Christ! Philip used his knowledged to pull down the stronghold of Samaria. As he preached the word, signs and wonders began to follow and even Simon believed.
Acts 8:4-13 KJV — “Therefore they that were scattered abroad went every where preaching the word. [5] Then Philip went down to the city of Samaria, and preached Christ unto them. [6] And the people with one accord gave heed unto those things which Philip spake, hearing and seeing the miracles which he did. [7] For unclean spirits, crying with loud voice, came out of many that were possessed with them: and many taken with palsies, and that were lame, were healed. [8] And there was great joy in that city.”
[9] “But there was a certain man, called Simon, which beforetime in the same city used sorcery, and bewitched the people of Samaria, giving out that himself was some great one: [10] to whom they all gave heed, from the least to the greatest, saying, This man is the great power of God. [11] And to him they had regard, because that of long time he had bewitched them with sorceries.
[12] “But when they believed Philip preaching the things concerning the kingdom of God, and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women. [13] Then Simon himself believed also: and when he was baptized, he continued with Philip, and wondered, beholding the miracles and signs which were done.“
Let us pull down the strongholds!
Stay blessed
