1 John 5:4 KJV — “For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.“
I want to exhort you to read 1 John 5:4. This text teaches us a few important notes that can transform your life and mine. In the text, we understand that;
Whosoever is born of God overcomes the world
Who then is born of God; anyone that believes in Jesus Christ is born of God. That is being born of God. Anyone who believes that Jesus Christ is the son of God, who was given as a propitiation for sin, receives the power to overcome the world. In John 1:12, we learn that even those who just believe in His name have power to be the sons of God.
The second truth that stands out in this text is the fact that our faith is the victory that overcomes the world
Your greatest secret to overcome the world is your faith. Your faith empowers you to overcome the world. You can overcome the world by your faith. That is the victory that overcomes the world. Don’t allow anything to steal your faith. Step forward and overcome.
Keep hearing by faith; faith comes by hearing
The more you hear by faith, the greater your faith grows. Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word. There is greater that can happen, when you spend time listening by faith.
