[Luke 8:41-42,49-56 KJV] “And, behold, there came a man named Jairus, and he was a ruler of the synagogue: and he fell down at Jesus’ feet, and besought him that he would come into his house: [42] For he had one only daughter, about twelve years of age, and she lay a dying. But as he went the people thronged him”.
[49] “While he yet spake, there cometh one from the ruler of the synagogue’s house, saying to him, Thy daughter is dead; trouble not the Master. [50] But when Jesus heard it, he answered him, saying, Fear not: believe only, and she shall be made whole”.
[51] “And when he came into the house, he suffered no man to go in, save Peter, and James, and John, and the father and the mother of the maiden. [52] And all wept, and bewailed her: but he said, Weep not; she is not dead, but sleepeth. [53] And they laughed him to scorn, knowing that she was dead. [54] And he put them all out, and took her by the hand, and called, saying, Maid, arise. [55] And her spirit came again, and she arose straightway: and he commanded to give her meat. [56] And her parents were astonished: but he charged them that they should tell no man what was done”.
I want to speak to you about what to do when bad grows worse and worse, and worst! The truth is, a bad situation is already bad enough; but what will you do when the bad situation grows worse and worst. The story of Jarius seeking help from Jesus Christ teaches great lessons that we can engage to change many situations! He needed healing for his daughter, but the daughter rather died; what if the church is declining rather than growing? What if the blood pressure is rising rather than dropping? What if the child died instead of speaking? What will you do when you lose another relative while paying against death?
Don’t panic:
Don’t be afraid just be strong and follow. Fear will steal your peace and joy and the strength that you need in order to continue. You must not panic or be afraid. Just keep your head up. Fear has a torment; so in moments like this, you must strive to keep your calm and not panic. You must do all in your power to stay calm and not panic. God is able in all circumstances to keep His own promises. His promises and word are yea and amen!
Only believe:
In the face of challenges and trials, faith is so important. Your faith in the word and power of God is so important. Faith is what will see you through in challenging times. Jesus told the ruler to only believe, this is because all things are possible to him that believes. I pray that you must be able to hold on and not change your faith and beliefs. Your faith and beliefs will help you to face the afflictions and challenges that life presents.
Walk with God in the light of His word:
In the face of a worsening situation, these are the three things that will help you. Not panicking, keeping faith, and continuing with God in the Light of His word. You must learn how to walk with God in the light of His word. His word is light and wisdom. As you walk in His Word, you receive power, wisdom and strength to keep pressing on. You will not make a mistake, God will keep and bless you and take you far. This is His word to us.
Be blessed, I love you!Kofi Simpe
