The scripture call our attention to the depth of love where with the Lord has Loved us. He has loved and saved us. He has made and called us His sons and the Bible says, “he that has this hope keeps himself”. We know that whoever is born of God sins not, but keeps himself.
[1 John 3:1-9 KJV] “Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not. [2] Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. [3] And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure. [4] Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law. [5] And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin. [6] Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him”.
[7] “Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous. [8] He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. [9] Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God”.
God has made us righteous, so that we can gain access to the treasures of the kingdom, to enable us practice and attain unto perfection.
We are saved by grace, in order to access the treasures of the kingdom to walk in the spirit. We are not saved by grace to continue in sin, we are saved by grace to walk in the good works prepared before the foundations of the earth was laid. We are saved to live as God would have us.
Many years ago there was a young brilliant chap who had all the potential to be an expert neurologist, but a few day to his final examinations he rebelled against his mother’s counsel and ate food he was allergic to. He become very ill afterwards and went into coma, through out the exam period.
During the exam however, a man who had faith in the abilities and potential of the chap, obtained a permit from the examination body to sit the exam for the boy, so that in the event that he did not die and decide to accept the results, he could use the results to go to the medical school.
Not long afterwards, the boy woke up from his coma, and the whole story was narrated to him by his friends, so he accepted the results and went to medical school.
The pathetic twist of the story is that after gaining admission in to the medical school, the boy continued in his indulgent lifestyle and did not work hard. Now, do you think he would ever become a neurosurgeon?
This is the story of many of us, because we entered in by grace, yet we continue to sin so that grace will abound, instead of practicing righteousness to make our election sure. God has made us righteous, so that we can get access to the best resources to make the most out of life. He has not made us righteous for us to continue in indulgence.
You will make it and excel in the will of God.
Be blessed; I love you!

Praise the Lord!
What a word! The ball lies in my court to rise to whatever height possible after I have entered in by grace.
Lord have mercy on me, and help me walk the path of righteousness. I can’t afford to be indulgent after He -The Lord– has made me righteousness.
