We have learnt and understand that most of the salvation, healing and deliverance we are seeking can grow from within. The quality of your internal and inner life can determine the perfection of healing and wholeness in your life. We can understand from the account of Luke that in four instances, the healing and salvation, and deliverance of the people came by their faith and not just by the power or anointing. Although it takes virtue to heal infirmities, it takes faith to connect and draw the power.
In Luke 7:50, we learn that the woman who broke the alabaster box to anoint Jesus Christ was saved by her faith. She came weeping and wiping the feet of Christ with her hair. She was submitted and believed in Christ Jesus. She was perceived by others as a sinner, but her faith saved her.
In Luke 8:48, we learn that the faith of the woman with the issue of blood healed her. She had suffered the infirmity for 12 years, but when she said within herself that I will try and touch the helm of His garments, she was healed.
In Luke 17:19, we learn how one of the nine lepers that were cleansed by the word of Jesus Christ was made whole when he returned to give thanks. He returned to give glory and he was made whole. Ten were cleansed, why was he the only one that came to give glory, it is because he was a stranger, he did not feel entitled. Sometimes a sense of entitlement can lead us to stupid and make silly choices. The other nine felt entitled, but the stranger felt grateful.
The last account is in Luke 18:35-42. The blind man on the road to Jericho, started crying when he heard that Jesus Christ is passing by. He received his sight because he believed. His faith made him whole.
The honest truth is that many of us are not healed because we don’t even think right. The quality of our internal life is poor and we are not living with the right spirit. Your faith connects and draws the power that heals and makes you whole.
Stay blessed; I love you!
