Matthew 28:19-20 KJV — Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: [20] teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
Church, we have a mandate to go to the world and preach the gospel to every creature. The only action that guarantees results is going somewhere and preaching somewhere. God never called the church to stay in a building to wait for the world; He called the church to go to the world and preach the gospel.
This is the mandate and the assignment we must discharge and run with. This is the time to arise and to reach out to the world with the message and grace of our Lord Jesus Christ!
The four simple things we can collectively do to reach the world around us is to;
- Commit ourselves to prayer and spiritual warfare to tame the gates of hell: When the church was threatened in Acts 4, they gathered and prayed. Our first weapon is prayer. Everything starts with prayer and I pray that God will stretch His hands and heal the sick. May He work miracles as we preach the gospel! May signs and wonders accompany the preaching of gospel!
- Let’s go to the streets and lanes, highways and hedges to compel the people to come in: The church must be on the move if we can see the world come in, to worship. Go and call someone to come see what Jesus Christ is doing among us.
- Endure sound doctrine: Continue steadfastly in the doctrine, so that your testimony and profit will appear to all. May the Lord give us grace to continue in the word!
- Pray that many more will volunteer to serve and to finance the kingdom agenda: Pray for God to raise men and women to both volunteer, and honour the Lord with their substance!
This is the day and now is the time, arise and let us go somewhere and preach somewhere!
Stay blessed
