“I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture. The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” (John 10:9-10 KJV)
We are born into a world to face an enemy who tries to steal, kill, and destroy us. Your midwife vaccinates you against six killer disease; a proof that there is something out there that seeks to steal, kill, and destroy you. In the fullness of time, God sent his son Jesus Christ to save and empower us to have life and abound with life.
If you really want to be saved and empowered for this abundant life, you must be willing to;
Believe that God sent his son that you might have life:
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16)
“But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:” (John 1:12)
“Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.” (Acts 4:12)
Romans 5:1-2, 17 teaches that by faith we have access to this grace and gift of righteousness by which we rule. God has sent messengers to spread this glad news around the world.
Receive and esteem a missionary highly in love:
God works with missionaries and evangelists and pastors and witnesses. Jesus Christ told His disciples to go into the world and preach the gospel; and signs shall follow those who recieve our message (Mark 16:15-18). It will take a preacher to release the power to make signs manifest. You need a preacher to recieve what it takes to live an abundant life. That is why God has sent us here; to share the gospel with you!
Listen and recieve the gospel with gladness:
The gospel is the power of God to save the world which we are part (1 Corinthians 1:21). Our faith in Christ Jesus gives us the power to stay safe and productive. The message of the cross is the only message that can save a man from the mess of sin.
You must accept the truth that God in the fullness of time sent His son Jesus Christ to save and empower us for fruitful living. Jesus Christ came that we might have life and abound with life. Just believe; only believe.
John 1:12 teaches that to them that believe on His name, to them he gave power to become the sons of God.
Be baptised and be added to the church:
Acts 19:1-6
(1) And it came to pass, that, while Apollos was at Corinth, Paul having passed through the upper coasts came to Ephesus: and finding certain disciples, (2) He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost. (3) And he said unto them, Unto what then were ye baptized? And they said, Unto John’s baptism. (4) Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus. (5) When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. (6) And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied.
Be baptised and added to the body of Christ. At best be added to the HighCity Church; we will disciple and prepare you to win in life. That is how the church made it years gone by. The church is the body of Christ on earth; God’s connecting and training centre. This is where you are trained for safe and productive living.
Romans 11:17 teaches that those en-grafted into the to good olive trees enjoy the roots and fatness of the olive.
Continue steadfastly in the apostles’ prayer, fellowship, and doctrine:
It’s good to be added to the church, but having your name in a church register without attending services and continuing in the teachings of the church will not empower you for productive living even if your faith has saved you.
The Scriptures clearly states that;
“Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls. And they continued stedfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers. And fear came upon every soul: and many wonders and signs were done by the apostles. And all that believed were together, and had all things common; And sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men, as every man had need. And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart, Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.” (Acts 2:41-47 KJV)
Apostle Paul in a letter to Timothy admonished him to continue in the things he had been taught; that his profiting will appear to many.
Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all. Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee. (1 Timothy 4:15-16 KJV)
This is the secret to maximum profit and advancement. You will be saved and empowered for productive and abundant living. God will bless and take you far. Stay blessed!
