Luke 4:1-2 KJV — And Jesus being full of the Holy Ghost returned from Jordan, and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness, [2] being forty days tempted of the devil. And in those days he did eat nothing: and when they were ended, he afterward hungered.
Anyone who wants to live an effective Christian life must strive to access the realms of the spirit. There are dimensions to life that are invisible and spiritual in nature.
Apostle Paul was lifted to the third heavens to eavesdrop on divine conversations. Jesus Christ and his disciples always had spiritual encounters with realms of the spirit. On the mount of transfiguration, they had an encounter with the realms of the spiritual.
I am not talking about the usual “God is in our midst” type of encounters; I am talking about dimensions of the spiritual that are both tangible and impactful.
Moses came down from the mountain shining like the sun because he had been with God. He returned from Horeb with a conviction and persuasion that enabled him to go before Pharaoh. He returned so changed that he wasn’t just mighty in the learning of Egypt but mighty in God’s work!
3 ways to access the realms of the spirit: Ask
No man stumbles into deeper dimensions of the spiritual by accident. You must be intentional about it. The simple secrets to the spiritual are:
Ask the Father to give you an encounter with the supernatural:
You must be ready to pray “show me your glory” kind of prayers. You must be hungry and yearning to have supernatural encounters. No one stumbles into the realms of the supernatural; we must be intentional about it.
Seek spiritual encounters:
You must be willing to sometimes seclude yourself for an encounter. Find a quiet place around the house and wait upon God. Wait and minister unto the Lord in worship and singing.
We must come with a heart to seek the supernatural. Jesus Christ was led to the wilderness by the Spirit and there he was tempted. Beware of the temptation that may arise.
Knock and knock:
Leave no stone unturned. Do everything from fasting, to soaking in the word, to fellowship, to travailing until you have an encounter!
Those who gain access to the realms of the invisible live a superior life. When the Lord was led into the wilderness, he returned with the Spirit’s power. He had the power to serve the helpless and needy.
Stay blessed
