I want to exhort you today to seek first the kingdom of God and righteousness of God. That is the only way to have all other things added to you and to possess your soul. This is the teachings of our Lord Jesus Christ. He wants us to put first things first.
[Matthew 6:33 KJV] “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you”.
What does it mean to seek the kingdom of God?
The kingdom of God is righteousness, peace, joy in the Holy Ghost, and power. To seek the kingdom of God, therefore, is to seek the following;
1. The righteousness of God
That is to try to establish how God wants things done and to do it. God wants us to do things by faith, His way, and with love. God wants the motivation for our obedience to be more of love and reverence. Righteousness is always by faith. God wants us to act because we believe Him.
2. Peace of God.
Anybody seeking the kingdom of God must strive to be at peace with God and other people. Any man seeking the kingdom of God must strive to have peace with God.
3. Joy in the Holy Ghost
A man seeking the kingdom must strive to get to that place in life where what you feel is not determined by the happenings around you, but rather, the happenings within you.
It is possible to live in a realm where your heart is supernaturally filled with joy stirred by the Holy Ghost.
4. Power of God
Those seeking the kingdom of God must be preoccupied with seeking for the power of God. This is because the kingdom of God is not in word only but power. We can find the kingdom in power.
I have no doubt that you will seek first the kingdom and righteousness of God. I also have no doubt that all other things shall be added unto you. You are blessed, so stay blessed.
