Deuteronomy 28:47-48 KJV — Because thou servedst not the LORD thy God with joyfulness, and with gladness of heart, for the abundance of all things; [48] therefore shalt thou serve thine enemies which the LORD shall send against thee, in hunger, and in thirst, and in nakedness, and in want of all things: and he shall put a yoke of iron upon thy neck, until he have destroyed thee.
In Psalm 100, the Psalmist exhorts the people of God to serve the Lord with gladness, especially that we come before Him with singing. If there is one expedient thing to do in these last days, it is to serve the Lord with gladness. Let us come before Him with singing and serve with an infectious gladness and joy.
We understand that if we don’t serve the Lord our God with gladness and joy, we may end up serving our enemies. I have seen how mostly women who didn’t appreciate men that literally worshipped them as queens, end up with men who treat them like trash. The grass looks greener on the other side mostly because you don’t see the details. I pray that each of us will be empowered by the Holy Ghost to understand the benefits we have been enjoying since we started serving the Lord. The situation could have been worse but God preserved and kept us.
This morning, arise and come before the Lord with singing. Let us go up to the house of the house of the Lord and serve. Let us celebrate our God even as He stirs Himself as a man of war. Come before the Lord with singing and with your sacrifices. This is the day the Lord has made. We can’t serve our enemies, we must serve the Lord. Receive the grace and the wisdom to serve the Lord our God with gladness. Let us make our boast in the Lord; He is mighty and gracious.
We are not even waiting for our enemies to require a song of us; we will clean our harps and flutes, and sing joyfully! We must offer our sacrifice and serve men made in the image of God. This is the time to serve the Lord and serve for kingdom advancement with the gifts and talents the Lord has blessed us!
Stay blessed
