[Mark 5:15-20 KJV] “And they come to Jesus, and see him that was possessed with the devil, and had the legion, sitting, and clothed, and in his right mind: and they were afraid. And they that saw it told them how it befell to him that was possessed with the devil, and also concerning the swine. And they began to pray him to depart out of their coasts. And when he was come into the ship, he that had been possessed with the devil prayed him that he might be with him. Howbeit Jesus suffered him not, but saith unto him, Go home to thy friends, and tell them how great things the Lord hath done for thee, and hath had compassion on thee. And he departed, and began to publish in Decapolis how great things Jesus had done for him: and all men did marvel”.
I want to announce to you that this year you must and will share a testimony. You will share your testimony and God will testify about you. The Lord will work a miracle in your life and give you a reason to share. The Lord will work a miracle in your life that will turn you into an evangelist as the woman of Samaria.
The man in the text we just read about did not only share his testimony but the gospels also testify of him that his account is true. Jesus touched and gave him a testimony to share. That same Jesus will give you a testimony to share.
One day I received a call that one the young women in our church had become paralysed. She went to bed and woke up the following morning unable to walk. I instructed that she be brought to a meeting I was holding that morning; and after a prayer that did not last for even an hour, she began to walk again.
God gave her a testimony to share. She received a miracle that should make her an evangelist.
What is a testimony?
A testimony is recounting a religious conversion or experience. God will give you a testimony to share; desire it, expect it, and work it.
Why must we share testimonies?
Testimonies;
- Make the simple wise (See Psalm 19:7, Psalms 119:2)
- Are the spirit of prophecy. (See Revelation 1:2, Revelation 19:10)
- Overcome the devil. (See Revelation 12:11)
- Create faith. (See Acts 22:18)
You must also share a tesimony this year.
How can I receive a miracle that becomes my testimony?
Even a casual look at the story of the man of Gadara teaches us that every one of us can receive a miracle that will turn our lives around and change our stories. This is possible if we always come into His presence at the HighCity – that city set on a hill – with expectation, worship, prayer, and yieldedness.
In Mark 11:24 KJV, our Lord Jesus teaches that “Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.”
Psalms 100:4 KJV teaches us to enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name. (See Psalm 95)
Hebrews 4:16 KJV also says “Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.”
In Jeremiah 18:3-4 KJV, we learn that the word of the Lord came to Jeremiah saying, “go down to the potter’s that I may speak to thee.” Then I went down to the potter’s house, and, behold, he wrought a work on the wheels. And the vessel that he made of clay was marred in the hand of the potter: so he made it again another vessel, as seemed good to the potter to make it.
When we are yielded to the Lord, we are ready to be made and remade any day anytime.
I believe that you will receive a miracle this season. You will receive a testimony this year. You must and will share your testimony. God will give you a testimony. He will prepare favour for you. God will be your helper. Your change will come and come speedily.
Stay blessed; I love you.
