And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me.  

Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures,

And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day:  

And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.  

And ye are witnesses of these things.  

And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.

But without the anointing and without signs and wonders, miracles and mighty deeds;

1. People will take you for granted; Acts 8:4-8 teaches us that Samaria gave heed to Philip because they heard and saw the signs and wonders which God worked through him.
2. The faith of your hearers will have no roots and foundations; When the preaching of the Word comes with signs and miracles, the faith of your hearers gain roots. (1 Corinthians 2:4)
3. You cannot establish sons and daughters; signs and wonders and miracles establish sons and daughters. (2 kings 6)

What are signs and wonders? Mark 16:14-20 gives us a description of what constitutes a sign or wonder. To cast out devils, to speak with new tongues, to lay hands on the sick for recovery, to be delivered from deadly poison and serpent. These are the signs that must follow us as we preach. These are the tangible proofs that people have believed.

These signs are ministered and worked by the Lord through the hearing of faith (Galatians 3:5) That is how miracles and sign happen. (See Acts 19:11-22, Romans 15:19)

It is God who ministers the signs and wonders but how does He do it? He ministers the spirit and works miracles among us by the hearing of faith.

Do you want the Holy Ghost?  Do you need a miracle? Then continue in the hearing of faith.

Every church you plant will grow but growth comes through the mighty Acts of the Holy Spirit. You need to tarry for the enduement of power from on high. Luke 24: 44-49.
