Many of us are living beggarly lives because we are refusing to seek and find the godly spiritual wisdom that can lift us to a higher altitude. In this encounter with the mocking fig tree, the Lord demonstrated that we can speak to anything that tends to mock our destinies.
[Matthew 21:18-22 KJV] “Now in the morning as he returned into the city, he hungered. [19] And when he saw a fig tree in the way, he came to it, and found nothing thereon, but leaves only, and said unto it, Let no fruit grow on thee henceforward for ever. And presently the fig tree withered away. [20] And when the disciples saw it, they marvelled, saying, How soon is the fig tree withered away! [21] Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done. [22] And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive”.
The Bible reveals that many years ago, our Lord Jesus Christ was travelling from Bethany and on His way He found a fig tree that had blossomed and appeared to have fruits. The Lord was hungry and came close to find fruits only to discover that it had no fruits. I believe the fig was in its season to bear fruits but had no fruits though it had blossomed.
There are times when life and the elements of life try to mock your faith and convictions. It may be a disease or conviction that refuses to cure or heal. It may be a marriage that won’t just work. Sometimes, it is a ministry that won’t respond. It could also be a church that is not growing. This is the time to stand up and speak to the situation. There are times when you speak to God but there are times when you have to speak to the situation. This is such a time, and each of us must arise to speak to every mountain or high thing in our lives that tries to exalt itself against the knowledge of God.
The truth is, as long as you have obeyed the word of God, the situation must improve. Anything that refuses to respond to the word of God is out of order. We must learn to speak to such situations. We have been saved to be in charge, we are more than conquerors and not the conquered.
The simple tips to speak to mountains and figs are:
1. Have faith and doubt nothing:
Feed your mind on the word of God. Focus your thoughts on that word and meditate on it day and night. Meditate on the testimonies of the Lord and you will have faith without doubt.
2. Identify and speak exactly what you want to see to the mountain:
You cannot speak to a mountain you cannot see. Until you see a situation as a mountain, you will keep entertaining it. May the Lord enlighten you to know the mountains and figs that are mocking your faith. May the Lord empower you to know that things that must move to give way to the manifestations of His good word. I pray that your understanding shall be enlightened. I need a “hundred double” and God will give us double.
Say exactly what you want to see to the mountain. The Lord said we shall say to the mountain. We shall say exactly what we want to see. The Lord is committed to seeing you speaking and He shall act. May you act speedily and see the manifestations of the good word. If you want to see your health improve, then speak to your health. If the business is not picking up, speak to that business, if the ministry is not working, speak to that ministry. This is the time to speak to the mountain.
3. Pray and keep believing for your desire:
Finally, when you speak to the mountain keep believing. Your continual believing is important. When you speak, you must believe and keep saying it. That is you move mountains.
We must build ourselves on our most holy faith, identity and speak exactly what you want to see to the mountain, and pray and keep believing that you will see your desire. I see your life responding to the word. Mountains will move and give way to your breakthrough.
Nothing can mock your faith anymore. You will arise and be more than a conqueror. I see change coming.
Stay blessed, I love you.
