Mark 1:45 KJV — “But he went out, and began to publish it much, and to blaze abroad the matter, insomuch that Jesus could no more openly enter into the city, but was without in desert places: and they came to him from every quarter.“
Today, we emphasize the importance of sharing the word. Each of us is called to spread the word of God’s goodness and mercy. We are tasked with preaching the good news, teaching the full counsel of God, and publishing the testimonies of His goodness.
Throughout scripture, we see examples of people who shared their testimonies. From lepers who were cleansed, to the man of Gadara delivered from demons, to the Samaritan woman at the well—each of them spread the word far and wide. We must follow their example and be dedicated to spreading the word because:
God has chosen the foolishness of preaching to save those who believe
Preaching is the primary medium through which God’s saving power is transmitted. This is God’s chosen method, and the church is the designated agency to spread His word.
There are others who need the same power but don’t know where to turn
Remember, you are not alone in your struggles. Many people face similar challenges and are seeking direction. Your testimony can guide them to the right path. In the text above, when the cleansed leper shared his testimony, others who were sick and suffering sought Jesus for healing.
Your testimony is one of the key weapons to overcome the enemy
The Bible states, “They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony.” Your testimony is a powerful weapon in spiritual warfare. Spread the word!
It is now our turn to continue the mission that others have begun. We must be committed to spreading the word, providing hope, and leading a world in need to faith. Spread the word! Share your encounter today! Publish the word and witness God’s saving power at work.
Stay blessed.
