[2 Corinthians 1:8-11 KJV] “For we would not, brethren, have you ignorant of our trouble which came to us in Asia, that we were pressed out of measure, above strength, insomuch that we despaired even of life: [9] But we had the sentence of death in ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves, but in God which raiseth the dead: [10] Who delivered us from so great a death, and doth deliver: in whom we trust that he will yet deliver us ; [11] Ye also helping together by prayer for us, that for the gift bestowed upon us by the means of many persons thanks may be given by many on our behalf”.
One truth that many are oblivious to is the fact that many of the wonderful men and women serving in the ministry are burning out, worn out, and very pressured. Many are pressed out and almost despaired of life. They stand by us in the courtrooms, wards, funerals, and dedications yet they are fighting their own battles that you have no knowledge of. Apostle Paul was pressed out of measure, insomuch that he almost despaired of life.
It is quite a normal occurrence to feel the urge to throw in the towel and and give up. It is important to therefore support your pastor and missionaries to survive the pressure of the mission field.
The church of God will do well when we learn to:
- Trust the Lord to deliver us from every oppression and death.
- Pray with the missionaries and ministers
- Continue giving to the ministry
These are the three simple keys to standing by your pastor and causing the church of God to triumph. We must trust God to keep us, pray for the pastors, and give to the ministry.
We don’t want to loose anymore men. May the Lord sustain the church and may we walk into the fullness of the blessings. You can and we must stand by the men and women in missions. They face death daily and we cannot forget about missionaries. May the good Lord bring the necessary changes we seek. May we stand up and fight along for our brethren. May the Lord keep us and help us all. Be blessed.
I love you;
