[Deuteronomy 7:1-3 KJV] “When the Lord thy God shall bring thee into the land whither thou goest to possess it, and hath cast out many nations before thee, the Hittites, and the Girgashites, and the Amorites, and the Canaanites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites, seven nations greater and mightier than thou;
(2) And when the Lord thy God shall deliver them before thee; thou shalt smite them, and utterly destroy them; thou shalt make no covenant with them, nor shew mercy unto them:
(3) Neither shalt thou make marriages with them; thy daughter thou shalt not give unto his son, nor his daughter shalt thou take unto thy son.
It is time for us to step out and take over by the testimony of Jesus, which is the spirit of prophecy.
As we step out, there are only two things we cannot do: To make covenants and/or marriages with them
Remember, we are the light of the world and salt of the earth (See Matthew 5:13-16). We are called to turn the crooked and perverse upside down (See Acts 17:6, Phil 2:15). Every one of us must arise with the committment and fortitude to influence the world around us.
Pray:
Pray because a man can recieve nothing except it be given to him from above (See John 3:27, Luke 10:1-2, 1 Timothy 2:1-6)
Plan
Plan and redeem the time. You cannot plan and structure and redeem the time, unless you walk in wisdom and with understanding. (See Ephesians 5:14-17, Colossians 4:5).
Go:
Step out into the city carrying the word with you. (See Matthew 28:18-20, Mark 16:14-20, Luke 24:44-53, John 14:12, John 20:21, Acts 1:8, Acts 8:1-4, Acts 13:1-5)
We have Apostle Paul for our supreme example of lay ministry and Christian living in contemporary times. He laboured day and night in order to preach the gospel without being chargeable to any man. (See 2 Thessalonians 3: 5-15, Philippians 3:17, 1 Corithians 4:10-17)
No man is too busy or too big to get involved in the work of evangelism and missions. It is only a matter of proiritisation and time management. If you deem it important, you will have time for it. Many people who claim not to have time for the things of God, all of a sudden have time for medical check-ups and treatments when they are diagnosed with illinesses. Please! This is the time to make time for the things of God.
