Matthew 14:15-21 KJV — “And when it was evening, his disciples came to him, saying, This is a desert place, and the time is now past; send the multitude away, that they may go into the villages, and buy themselves victuals. [16] But Jesus said unto them, They need not depart; give ye them to eat. [17] And they say unto him, We have here but five loaves, and two fishes.”
[18] “He said, Bring them hither to me. [19] And he commanded the multitude to sit down on the grass, and took the five loaves, and the two fishes, and looking up to heaven, he blessed, and brake, and gave the loaves to his disciples, and the disciples to the multitude.”
[20] “And they did all eat, and were filled: and they took up of the fragments that remained twelve baskets full. [21] And they that had eaten were about five thousand men, beside women and children.“
I don’t know what you may be going through but sometimes whatever you find when you look, is enough to meet the needs that are making you anxious.
One day, the disciples of Christ were anxious because they had 5000 men and their families to feed after church. The situation looked dire and all hope was lost. The only hope they found was five loaves of bread and two fishes; but before they would complain the Lord requested for it. Most of us destroy the miracle with our murmuring and complaining.
I want to exhort you to stop complaining and start giving your loaves and fish to him. A lot changed when
- They looked. When they looked, they found a boy with five loaves and two fishes
- They reported back to him. When they brought him a report he guided them. He showed them what to do. When you learn to revert back to the master in prayer, he will show you the way out.
- They obeyed him. When they obey him the loaves multiplied. There are times when all it will take is obedience to the master. May the Lord help us to obey, that the miracle shall happen.
Let us give him the little we have found and he will bless it to increase. It will take favour and blessing to bring sufficiency. May you not be afraid to trust him with your little. He will bless it and multiply it to increase. Receive grace and win.
Stay blessed
