[1 Corinthians 14:37 KJV] “If any man think himself to be a prophet, or spiritual, let him acknowledge that the things that I write unto you are the commandments of the Lord.“
Becoming a prophet or a spiritual man is not rocket science; it is an attainable feat! You can desire to become a prophet or a spiritual; that is how it starts.
“Follow after charity, and desire spiritual gifts, but rather that ye may prophesy. Wherefore let him that speaketh in an unknown tongue pray that he may interpret. Wherefore, brethren, covet to prophesy, and forbid not to speak with tongues.” (1 Corinthians 14:1, 13, 39 KJV)
The first step to prophesy or become a spiritual man is to desire the grace
You must be hungry for it. You must covet it, you must desire it; you must crave earnestly for it. Any grace you don’t covet, you won’t walk in.
The second steps is to pray that God will help you to interpret all things, especially tongues
The Bible says “let him that prays in unknown tongue, pray that he may interpret”. This means that you can pray that God would enable you to interpret the tongues you speak.
The third step is you need alone time with God
I am yet to come across any truly spiritual person, who does not have an alone time with God. You must learn to practice silence and solitude if you are going to be deeply spiritual. God wants to meet you alone and speak comfortably to you (See Hosea 2:14).
Don’t judge things after the outward appearance!
You must strive to judge all things after the thoughts of God. You must always ask the question “what does God think about this?”
“Do ye look on things after the outward appearance? If any man trust to himself that he is Christ’s, let him of himself think this again, that, as he is Christ’s, even so are we Christ’s.” (2 Corinthians 10:7 KJV)
Always compare spiritual things with spiritual. Don’t be carnal; be spiritual! You must see things from God’s perspective!
Decide to pray about every little thing about your life. Acknowledge God in all your ways…
Be conscious of God and depend on Him to the letter. Go to God for everything. The first proof of faith is prayer. Spiritual men pray. They pray about everything. Listen! It takes a lot of faith to pray; especially private and personal prayers.
“Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; And lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, And he shall direct thy paths. Be not wise in thine own eyes: Fear the LORD, and depart from evil.” (Proverbs 3:5-7 KJV)
You must see the invisible God. You must acknowledge Him in all your ways consciously. You must relate personally with Him.
Set your affection on things that are above
“If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.” (Colossians 3:1-4 KJV)
Stay blessed!
