“And it came to pass, that, while Apollos was at Corinth, Paul having passed through the upper coasts came to Ephesus: and finding certain disciples, He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost. And he said unto them, Unto what then were ye baptized? And they said, Unto John’s baptism. Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus. When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied. And all the men were about twelve. And he went into the synagogue, and spake boldly for the space of three months, disputing and persuading the things concerning the kingdom of God. But when divers were hardened, and believed not, but spake evil of that way before the multitude, he departed from them, and separated the disciples, disputing daily in the school of one Tyrannus. And this continued by the space of two years; so that all they which dwelt in Asia heard the word of the Lord Jesus, both Jews and Greeks. And God wrought special miracles by the hands of Paul: So that from his body were brought unto the sick handkerchiefs or aprons, and the diseases departed from them, and the evil spirits went out of them.” (Acts 19:1-12 KJV)
We have heard in the previous study that God is commited to His creation and He intends to seek and save us from the things that seek to steal, to kill, and to destory us. (John 10:9-10; luke 4:18-21)
- Sin and death
- Poverty and lack
- Brokenheartedness and depression
- Captivity to darkness and flesh
- Blindness and ignorance
- Bruises and infirmity
- Bad seasons and evil days
We understood that this is the reason why God sent and anointed His son to come down here in the form of man. He took on the form of a man that He might liberate us from the fears that holds us bound.
“Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage. For verily he took not on him the nature of angels; but he took on him the seed of Abraham. Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made like unto his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people. For in that he himself hath suffered being tempted, he is able to succour them that are tempted.” (Hebrews 2:14-18 KJV)
There is supernatural grace in Christ Jesus; the anointed Jesus, the messiah. We must therefore understand how to access this supernatural grace for greater impact. You can make a difference but by supernatural grace. How then do we access this grace?
The simple hints to access supernatural grace for greater impact are to be;
- Informed
- Inspired
- Imparted.
You must strive to be informed by the truth, inspired by the gospel, and imparted through following and continuing steadfastly.
We see that when Apostle Paul found the disciples, he informed them of the Holy Ghost; they did not have access to this inexhaustisble well of grace and power because they did not know. They were ignorant, they were blinded to the truth, and nobody told them that they needed this gift of God.
He inspired them to go for it; you must know why; and not just what? You must know why to be inspired to press for it. They must have seen the need for the grace to pursue it.
Finally they continued with the apostles in Prayer, fellowship, doctrine, and breaking of bread. As they continued steadfastly for 2 years, the message grew and spread through out Asia.
Now listen! As you get informed and inspired;
- Admit the truth
- Believe and confess the gospel (goodnews) (1 Corinthians 5:14)
- Continue steadfastly in the apostles prayer, fellowship, doctrine, and breaking of bread (Acts 2:40-47)
Jude teaches that the very nature of these last day require that we should;
- Contend for faith: we have a common faith as Luke taught. Let us contend for what the gospels declare. That is what was widely believed among the believers. (Luke 4:1-4)
- Keep ourselves in the love of the God; While we build up ourselves on our most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost, and looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.
- Have compassion on some; In order to make a difference in their lives because they are weak.
- Save some with fear pulling them out of fire hating even the garments stained with the flesh; Because they are carnal and fleshy; behave like children. (1 Corinthians 3:1-6)
This is the time and we must gain a full access to the supernatural grace of God.
I love you; Stay blessed!
