Ephesians 6:13 KJV — Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
“All days are not equal” is one truism that we bought into as children. We knew without a doubt that even all Mondays are not the same. Indeed some days are good but others are evil. There are times when everything begins to turn against you, and everything seems to be falling apart, but you must not be taken by surprise. You as a child of God must be prepared to withstand anything that may rear its ugly head.
You are built to outlast every storm. Robert Schuller could not have said it in any better way than to say that “tough times don’t last but tough people do!” I pray that you will prepare yourself and your mind to withstand even an evil day. May the Lord give you the grace to stand firm and tall when the tides are high and billows roll. May you never crash when the tempest is tossed. When the storms hit and the fires of life blaze hot, may you find a hiding place in God.
Remember, to fortify yourself with the assurance of salvation as a helmet, with truth, righteousness, a readiness to share the good news of peace, the shield of faith; arm yourself with the word of God, and never stop praying. This is the only way to fortify yourself to withstand. Let us pray all prayer with all long-suffering watching for all the saints. The devil may try his worst but you will do your best. Don’t crash, don’t retreat, don’t surrender. Keep fighting the good fight of faith and you will win.
Whatever was sent to kill you, will only sharpen your skills on the weapons of war. You are built to last! Don’t let anything crash you. Resolve that you will not allow anything to crash your spirit.
Today’s Prayer
May the Lord make you strong in Him and in the power of His might. May the Lord strengthen your hand on the weapons of war! May you receive the grace to fight to the end! May your bow never bend! May God strengthen your arms in war.
Amen!
