I want you to take time and read the text below carefully, would you? If you are able, you will find out that our Lord Jesus is speaking about how the kingdom of God grows and spreads. He is actually teaching that the kingdom of God grows and spreads by the concerted effort of the pastor, the men, and the women.
[Luke 13:18-22 KJV] “Then said he, Unto what is the kingdom of God like? and whereunto shall I resemble it? It is like a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and cast into his garden; and it grew, and waxed a great tree; and the fowls of the air lodged in the branches of it.”
“And again he said, Whereunto shall I liken the kingdom of God? It is like leaven, which a woman took and hid in three measures of meal, till the whole was leavened. And he went through the cities and villages, teaching, and journeying toward Jerusalem.”
Whereas the pastors and missionaries are traveling and crossing oceans, conquering mountains, and overcoming valleys and alleys, all that men should do is to take the seed and place it in their gardens; and women hide it like yeast in their mills and doughs.
The Lord is teaching that if each one of us will be committed to sharing the gospels in our little corners or spheres of life, we may not be to send missionaries overseas. The truth is, the gospel must spread as birds disperse seed. We must carry the message wherever we go.
The gospel will go, and the kingdom will spread when we learn to receive, share, and nurture the word. Every one of us must be able to share the word, his or her faith, and testimony. We should be able to tell others what we believe about life, God, salvation, heaven, hell, repentance, judgment, healing, miracles, and grace. We should strive to understand the faith and to share it. When we share what we believe, we will be spreading faith and the message will travel faster.
The Bible tells us that in the days of the persecution, they preached the word wherever they were scattered, and cities like Philippi and Samaria were taken. This is the day and the time when we should try to spread the truth and the word and get the nations to believe.
Don’t sleep! Arise! Tell them! Tell them that He is alive, He is not dead, He loves them, they can live forever, He is coming again. Tell them! Spread the word and let the people hear. This is our time and our day. I can hear the Spirit calling that it is our time.
I love you, stay blessed
