I want to exhort you on the four elements of our ministry as priests. Many of us want to serve but we don’t know how. We want to study the elements of our ministry as priests to God. The ministry is simple; we called to pray, preach, and provide. Beyond praying and preaching, we are called to also meet the needs of the less privileged. I exhort therefore that each of us will take up the mandate to;
1. Pray:
I wish that first of all prayer supplication and intercession be made for all men and for people in authority. We must be committed to prayer; as we pray for others, our needs are met. When Job prayed for his friends his needs were met; when Abraham prayed for Abimelech, his needs were met. I believe as we commit ourselves to pray for ourselves and the world there will be a great change and healing around the world. This is the time to arise and begin to desire to see the world healed and changed.
2. Testifying:
This is the second element of our ministry; to feed the flock among us and to go into the world and preach the gospel (See Matthew 28;18-20). When we seek the kingdom of God and His righteousness, all other things are added to us. Preaching, teaching, and witnessing as the key elements of ministry. Every pastor is called upon to do the work of an evangelist. I believe that you will get involved, especially in promoting the kingdom and kingdom values online. The online missions is vast but ripe. We can go in and preserve the harvest. I believe that you must strive and work hard to understand this mission and how it works but you must get involved and advance the cause of missions and ministry.
3. Giving:
The third element of ministry is providing. Beyond praying for people and preaching to them, people may need provisions. Some may need food, shelter medication, clothing, and essentials.
I pray that the Lord will help us raise the resources and understanding to carry out this mandate and ministry as a priest of God to the world. Every one of us has a part to play and to finish. I pray that God will give you the strength to press on.
I love you
