[1 Samuel 16:1,11-13 KJV] “And the Lord said unto Samuel, How long wilt thou mourn for Saul, seeing I have rejected him from reigning over Israel? fill thine horn with oil, and go, I will send thee to Jesse the Beth-lehemite: for I have provided me a king among his sons”.
[11] “And Samuel said unto Jesse, Are here all thy children? And he said, There remaineth yet the youngest, and, behold, he keepeth the sheep. And Samuel said unto Jesse, Send and fetch him: for we will not sit down till he come hither. [12] And he sent, and brought him in. Now he was ruddy, and withal of a beautiful countenance, and goodly to look to. And the Lord said, Arise, anoint him: for this is he. [13] Then Samuel took the horn of oil, and anointed him in the midst of his brethren: and the Spirit of the Lord came upon David from that day forward. So Samuel rose up, and went to Ramah”.
The anointing makes a big difference in the lives of people. David was an ordinary boy before he was anointed. He was just a boy like any one of us, attending to his father’s business, but the anointing impacted him and made a big difference in his life.
If the anointing comes upon you today, it is going to make a big difference in you and in your life. I believe that many of us are going to step into the will of God for our lives after today. I believe that many of us will break addictions and curses shall break out of our lives. I know the anointing is going to change your life and empower you to make impact in other people’s lives. From today, nothing shall be able to stop you. As the oil touches you, the power of God shall begin to flow into your life.
Like David, Saul, Samson and any of the anointed men of old, you will be turned into another man. You will be changed by power. Many of you shall begin to do practically impossible feats. You are becoming a Tarzan after today. The hand of the Lord shall be with you to help you. You will not fail.
Now, the simple secrets to the anointing that makes a difference are:
- Preparation for higher responsibilities.
- Honouring every invitation to the house of God
- Continuing in fellowship and in your responsibilities
David had no idea that one day he will rule as King of Israel, but he was faithful to all the things his father asked him to do, and God was watching. The Lord was watching him in the wilderness; the eyes of the Lord are moving to and from in the earth to find a man whose heart is right before him, that He might show Himself strong on his behalf.
Many years ago the King Asa served the Lord, He became a great King of Judah, but at one point the Bible says King Asa did not rely on the Lord but rather on the King of Syria. Many of the times we rely on the wrong things and the wrong people, but thank God that you are now relying on God. Thank God that you honoured this invitation to come to the Lord.
[2 Chronicles 16:1-10 KJV] “In the six and thirtieth year of the reign of Asa Baasha king of Israel came up against Judah, and built Ramah, to the intent that he might let none go out or come in to Asa king of Judah. [2] Then Asa brought out silver and gold out of the treasures of the house of the Lord and of the king’s house, and sent to Ben-hadad king of Syria, that dwelt at Damascus, saying, [3] There is a league between me and thee, as there was between my father and thy father: behold, I have sent thee silver and gold; go, break thy league with Baasha king of Israel, that he may depart from me. [4] And Ben-hadad hearkened unto king Asa, and sent the captains of his armies against the cities of Israel; and they smote Ijon, and Dan, and Abel-maim, and all the store cities of Naphtali. [5] And it came to pass, when Baasha heard it, that he left off building of Ramah, and let his work cease. [6] Then Asa the king took all Judah; and they carried away the stones of Ramah, and the timber thereof, wherewith Baasha was building; and he built therewith Geba and Mizpah”.
[7] “And at that time Hanani the seer came to Asa king of Judah, and said unto him, Because thou hast relied on the king of Syria, and not relied on the Lord thy God, therefore is the host of the king of Syria escaped out of thine hand. [8] Were not the Ethiopians and the Lubims a huge host, with very many chariots and horsemen? yet, because thou didst rely on the Lord, he delivered them into thine hand. [9] For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him. Herein thou hast done foolishly: therefore from henceforth thou shalt have wars. [10] Then Asa was wroth with the seer, and put him in a prison house; for he was in a rage with him because of this thing. And Asa oppressed some of the people the same time”.
Asa failed because he did not rely on God when he started succeeding. He rather turned to Syria and the Lord sent a prophet to rebuke him. The anointing makes a big difference in all that we do. The anointing can take you to another level, an entirely new level. I pray that every one of us shall value and treasure the anointing.
The anointing will set you apart and bring new and great things into your life. The anointing will transform you into a new man. The anointing will lift you higher and higher. The anointing makes a difference.
Stay blessed
