The Bible is not just a book of claims but also of proof. It is not a book to be preached and heard by many, but a book to be experienced. The Lord Jesus Christ told His disciples to go into the world and preach the gospel, and that signs shall follow them that believe. The Lord assured us that in His name, we shall cast out devils, speak with new tongues, take up serpents, drink anything deadly and not be hurt, and lay our hands on the sick and they shall recover.
[Mark 16:14-20 KJV] “Afterward he appeared unto the eleven as they sat at meat, and upbraided them with their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they believed not them which had seen him after he was risen. [15] And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. [16] He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. [17] And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
[18] They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. [19] So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God. [20] And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.
Though the Lord asked them to go and preach the word, He assured them of the proofs. The Bible tells us in Mark 16:20 that as they went forth, “the Lord went with them, confirming their word with signs following”. These signs have followed the preaching of the gospel ever since, except when the people do not believe. As long as the people came to hear with expectation, the signs followed.
The content of this book (the Bible) produces undeniable proofs in those who believe and receive it as children and with faith. The word produces at least five remedies and proofs:
Liberation:
He said those who believe can cast out or throw out devils. Faith in the word brings liberation and freedom. “And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free”. (John 8:32 KJV)
Speaking with new tongues:
When you believe, it will impact the way you speak. You will speak with the tongue of the learned. You will speak with seasoning. The word of God makes us wise and gives us insight.
Discretion and insight:
When you receive the word of God, you can discriminate between serpents and sticks, deception and weakness. Many are not smart enough to take up serpents, but from today as you believe the word, you are made wise and enlightened, Amen!
Life:
This is the fourth tangible proof of faith. As you hear or read the word with faith and honour the messenger, you receive life and spirit. The Lord said, the words that I speak, they are spirit and life”. You are cleansed by the words that He speaks.
Healing and recovery:
As we read the word of God in faith and honour the minister, the word begins to heal us. We lay our hands on the sick and they recover.
The only barrier to experiencing the word and proofs is unbelief and dishonour. As long as you do not doubt but believe, you will walk in the proofs. Faith and honour are the keys to undeniable proofs of power.
[Mark 6:1-6 KJV] “And he went out from thence, and came into his own country; and his disciples follow him. [2] And when the sabbath day was come, he began to teach in the synagogue: and many hearing him were astonished, saying, From whence hath this man these things? and what wisdom is this which is given unto him, that even such mighty works are wrought by his hands? [3] Is not this the carpenter, the son of Mary, the brother of James, and Joses, and of Juda, and Simon? and are not his sisters here with us? And they were offended at him. [4] But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, but in his own country, and among his own kin, and in his own house. [5] And he could there do no mighty work, save that he laid his hands upon a few sick folk, and healed them. [6] And he marvelled because of their unbelief. And he went round about the villages, teaching”.
Although the Bible is a book of proofs, it will take your faith to work the signs. You must believe and come to God in expectation. Without faith, it is impossible to walk in the supernatural.
- You must listen for faith,
- You must hunger for the miracle or change
- You must get ready for the change
That is how the proofs come. That is how you see the signs. You will not walk into this experience until you begin to believe. Faith and expectation are the keys to walk in the proofs and experience of the word. Many give up because they do not read with faith.
You will walk in the proofs of the Scriptures. May the word come alive!
[Proverbs 4:20-27 KJV] “My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. [21] Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. [22] For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh. [23] Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life. [24] Put away from thee a froward mouth, and perverse lips put far from thee. [25] Let thine eyes look right on, and let thine eyelids look straight before thee. [26] Ponder the path of thy feet, and let all thy ways be established. [27] Turn not to the right hand nor to the left: remove thy foot from evil”.
You must keep your heart with all diligence because bitterness, pain, unbelief, and fear can easily enter your heart.
Stay blessed!
