I want to exhort you this day with the truth that God, the father of our Lord Jesus Christ is a healer and Jesus is the Great Physician.
[Exodus 15:26 KJV] “and said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the LORD that healeth thee”.
He is the Lord that heals us and forgives our sins. He has been at it since time immemorial; He has been at it from the Garden of Eden; He heals and restore all who hearken unto His voice and seek His healing and help.
God does not impose Himself on anyone: that is why we need to approach Him in faith. He is the healer and restorer! Jesus Christ is the great physician and He healed from house to house. He heals both in the temple and from house to house.
In Matthew 9:23-26, the Lord made one of such home visits and raised the daughter of the Ruler of the Synagogue.
“And when Jesus came into the ruler’s house, and saw the minstrels and the people making a noise, he said unto them, Give place: for the maid is not dead, but sleepeth. And they laughed him to scorn. But when the people were put forth, he went in, and took her by the hand, and the maid arose. And the fame hereof went abroad into all that land.“
In Mark 1:29 downwards, we understand that one day our great physician, entered into the house of Simon’s wife and healed her mother.
“And forthwith, when they were come out of the synagogue, they entered into the house of Simon and Andrew, with James and John. But Simon’s wife’s mother lay sick of a fever, and anon they tell him of her.”
“And he came and took her by the hand, and lifted her up; and immediately the fever left her, and she ministered unto them. And at even, when the sun did set, they brought unto him all that were diseased, and them that were possessed with devils.”
“And all the city was gathered together at the door. And he healed many that were sick of divers diseases, and cast out many devils; and suffered not the devils to speak, because they knew him.” [Mark 1:29-34 KJV]
This same Jesus still makes home visits. He wants to visit you right now as you read this devotional. He desires to touch you right now! You can tap into His healing grace. Jesus wants to touch, to heal, and to restore! The great physician may be sitting at your bedside right now, waiting to touch, heal, and restore you.
As we read and pray, believe that you are recieving the infusion of virtue! He is healing and restoring everyone of us. He is “the Lord that heals us”. I will encourage you to read and mediate on Psalm 103, He is “the Lord that heals us.”
We cannot forget all of His benefits. Don’t be scared nor discouraged. It may not be easy for you to visit the healing centre but you can connect right now online and in spirit. Jesus is right there by your bedside. If you can believe, then He is willing and ready to touch, heal , and restore you!
Don’t allow what you are going through and feeling in your body blind you from seeing what he is doing. He is working on your case. Always remember, that Jesus the great physician still makes home visits.
