[Ephesians 2:1-10 KJV] “And you hath he quickened , who were dead in trespasses and sins; [2] Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience: [3] Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others. [4] But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, [5] Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) [6] And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: [7] That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus. [8] For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: [9] Not of works, lest any man should boast. [10] For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them”.
God has never left His creation to their fate; from time to time he awakens a prophet and gives him a message of hope to revive an age long truth that is dead or ignored. No message of any revival is new; it is usually an age long truth that has eluded us.
In our time, God has given us the message of the possibility to live the heavenly life right here on earth. The Lord is telling us that we who were dead in trespasses, and walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, have been quickened by God. We are His workmanship created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God has before ordained that we should walk in them.
We are saved by grace through faith; salvation is the gift of God and not of ouselves; it is not of works lest any man should boast. We are His workmanship created in Christ Jesus to walk in good works fore-ordained that we should walk them. We are called from a place of;
- Being dead in sin
- Walking according to the course the world
- Walking according to the prince of the world now at work in the children of disobedience;
To a place where we will walk in good works prepared for us. The works are already finished, we are just supposed to walk in them. The works are prepared and fore-ordained; we just have to walk in it. Get ready to walk in some finished works. Jesus Christ finished everything on the cross. He gave us the victory when He rose from the dead.
What are these works?
Genesis 1:26-31, we understand that we are;
- Created in the image and the likeness of God
- To have dominion over all created things
- Blessed to be fruitful, replenish the earth, subdue and fill it
- Given the blessed herbs of field for food
- put in the garden of God, Eden, where the presence of God dwell
Under the new convenant, these works are restored to us. We are restored to that place in God, not just spiritually but socially right here on earth.
Take a look at the following Scriptures;
Roman 8:28-31 says we are created to conform to the image of the son of God. All those that He called, He justified and glorified.
Roman 5:17 says we have “recieved the abundance of grace and the gift of righteousness to reign in life by one, Christ Jesus“.
Ephesians 1:3: we are “blessed with all spiritual blesssing in heavenly places” to live an abundance life.
John 6:48-58 and Hebrews 6:4-5 teaches that we have both partaken of the heaven gift, the Holy Ghost, the power of the world to come and still partake of the cup and table of blessing.
Ephesians 2:6 teaches of how we are “seated in heavenly places with Christ Jesus far above all principalities and powers”.
This is a higher life and we can walk in it by simply yielding to the leading of the Lord. It is a finished work and we just have to walk in it. We are called to yield to His leading.
Be blessed; I love you!
God bless you, Bishop. You always minister hope and bring me and many back to the path we ought to walk on.
I receive grace to live heaven on earth right now.
