Matthew 6:9-13 KJV — After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. [10] Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. [11] Give us this day our daily bread.
[12] And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. [13] And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
We are God’s agents placed on the earth to both season and illuminate it. We are the salt of the earth and the light of the world, a city set on a hill to shine and give light to the world. You are the agent by whom God seeks to carry out his transformation and salvation agenda in the earth. We are not left here by mistake. We are the church by whom God will accomplish His purpose in our lives and in the world.
One of the surest ways by which God can save and change the world, our lives, and the circumstances of our lives is by prayer. We must observe the hour that changes the world. We must go back to daily prayer and be consistent with it. We must learn how to live by prayer and by faith.
What is this hour that changes the world? The hour that changes the world focuses on;
1. Worshipping our father in heaven:
We must spend ample time getting to know Him, and strengthening our relationship with Him, the father. Let us learn to start our prayer with worship and acknowledging that we come as sons and daughters of God and not as beggars.
2. Kingdom advancement prayers:
Have a world vision and pursue global evangelism. We must spend time daily praying and committing the church and the world around us into the hands of God; striving to bring both under the authority and agenda of God. We should have an honest desire to see the church take over the land. We ought to pray for souls, for the church, for the geopolitics of the world. May the Lord empower His church to pray for the world.
3. Praying for daily needs:
Encourage dependence on divine providence and supernatural supply. Except a thing is given to you from above, you can’t have it. We need to pray that God will supply our daily bread. Except the Lord builds the house, they labour in vain to build it; except the Lord watches over the city, they stay awake for nothing.
4. Repairing our relationships with others:
For the world to be a beautiful place, we must learn to forgive each other; and ask for forgiveness. The quality of your life depends on the quality of your relationship with God and with others.
5. Seeking leading and deliverance from temptations and evil:
There is so much evil and wickedness in the world, and smart people don’t live in fear but live with caution. May the Lord lead us away from temptations and deliver us from evil, from satanic schemes, from witchcraft, from household wickedness!
6. Acknowledging that all kingdom, power, and glory belongs to God:
Without him we can do nothing. He is the vinedresser and we are the branches of the vine, Jesus Christ! All power, and glory, and domains belong to Him.
Stay blessed.
