[James 5:16 KJV] “Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.“
The word of God according to this text is exhorting us to pray one for another, that we may be healed. This is one of the key things the Apostles are encouraging us to do. They want us to both confess our faults one to another and pray for one another. Sometimes people know that covered and hidden sins are the reasons why they have no breakthrough and yet they will be offended in God. The scriptures are teaching that until we learn to confess our sins and pray for one for another; we can not be healed and restored.
1. Prayer will turn again your captivity; and secure your dominion:
“And the LORD turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends: also the LORD gave Job twice as much as he had before. (Job 42:10 KJV)
2. Pray will bring forth the impossible:
Any problem that has lingered long in your life is giving way as we engage with prayer in the name of Jesus! As we pray tonight, everything is giving way! God will upgrade your life in the name of Jesus Christ!
“Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting”. (Matthew 17:21 KJV)
3. Prayer is the force that preserves your faith!
In Luke 18:8, the Lord teaches that it will take prayer to preserve your faith. The Son of Man shall find faith if we sustain prayer.
“And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint; saying, There was in a city a judge, which feared not God, neither regarded man: and there was a widow in that city; and she came unto him, saying, Avenge me of mine adversary.”
“And he would not for a while: but afterward he said within himself, Though I fear not God, nor regard man; yet because this widow troubleth me, I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me.“
“And the Lord said, Hear what the unjust judge saith. And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them? I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?” (Luke 18:1-8 KJV)
4. Pray let is what will keep the believer agile and preserve his vitality
The Bible says in Luke 18:1, “men ought to pray always and not to faint”. Prayer-less men faint! The more we engage in prayer the more agile we become! The more we pray, the greater the spiritual vitality you see.
“And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God. For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them”. (Mark 11:22-24 KJV)
5. Prayer will release whatsoever things you desire
Stay blessed
