[1 John 5:18-21 KJV] “We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not. And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness. And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life. Little children, keep yourselves from idols. Amen”.
We know that the whole world lies in wickedness hence the need to walk circumspect and trust God to take vengeance on our adversary. There are times when the only way out of your oppression is vengeance. There are times when the adversary has sworn by an evil oath to make life a living hell for you. I pray that the Lord shall take vengeance on such an enemy.
To avenge is to return harm or take vengeance or to harm or punish someone who has harmed you or someone or something that you care about.
The Bible teaches us in Genesis 12:1-4 that “the Lord had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father’s house, unto a land that I will shew thee: And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed. The Lord gave Abraham the assurance that He shall repay those who wish him evil. I believe the time has come that the Lord shall favour us. The Lord shall take vengeance on the wicked. I pray that any power trying to keep you in perpertual wickedness be judged and crushed!
The Bible teaches us how the Lord was teaching and spoke a parable; “And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint; Saying, There was in a city a judge, which feared not God, neither regarded man: And there was a widow in that city; and she came unto him, saying, Avenge me of mine adversary. And he would not for a while: but afterward he said within himself, Though I fear not God, nor regard man; Yet because this widow troubleth me, I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me. And the Lord said, Hear what the unjust judge saith. And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them? I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth? [Luke 18:1-8 KJV]. So we see that the good Lord will speedily avenge His own who cry unto Him day and night. The Lord shall be your avenger and you shall hold your peace!
Therefore “Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men. If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men. Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord. Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head. Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good” [Romans 12:17-21 KJV]
We are called to be at peace with all men. We are to trust in the soveriegn will of God. He shall take vengeance on the wicked and give you peace.
You procure vengeance when you engage in ceaseless prayer. Ceaseless prayer is the key to access veageance. I pray that we shall all arise and begin to pray for change. This is the time and season for prayer. The Lord will deal with the wickedness that is plaguing you in Jesus’ name!
