[Luke 24:49 KJV] “And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.“
I believe we have spent 16 days out of the 21 praying and as the programme comes to a close, I believe we must spend some time recharging and recieving power. I believe that you are going to need direction and power for the journey ahead. The kingdom of God is not in word only but in power. The Bible also teaches us that Christ is both the power and the wisdom of God. These are the two key things that will bring us prosperity faster.
I desire us to spend the next few days waiting to recieve power or unction to function. We are going to pray that the Holy Ghost will;
1. Baptise, fill and endue us with power again and again:
In Acts 2, the church was baptised; then in Acts 4:30 downwards, the disciples were baptised and filled again; and in Acts 10 when Peter was preaching in Cornelius’ House, the Spirit fell on all that heard the word. (See Acts 10:44). We desire that the Holy Spirit shall visit and baptised us again with power.
“And Jesus being full of the Holy Ghost returned from Jordan, and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness, being forty days tempted of the devil. And in those days he did eat nothing: and when they were ended, he afterward hungered. And Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit into Galilee: and there went out a fame of him through all the region round about. And he taught in their synagogues, being glorified of all”. (Luke 4:1-2, 14-15 KJV)
2. Help our infirmity in prayer and make intercession for us:
One of the key ministries of the Holy Spirit is to help us in prayer or help us to pray or intercede for us. We must pray that the Holy Spirit will minister to us in that regard.
“Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.” (Romans 8:26-27 KJV)
3. Lead us into all truth:
“Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you. All things that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall shew it unto you”. (John 16:13-15 KJV)
4. Give us utterance:
“And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance”. (Acts 2:4 KJV)
5. Remain as a seal on our lives:
“Now he which stablisheth us with you in Christ, and hath anointed us, is God; who hath also sealed us, and given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts”. (2 Corinthians 1:21-22 KJV)
“In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory”. (Ephesians 1:13-14 KJV)
6. Distribute the gifts severally to every men:
“And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.” (Ephesians 4:30 KJV)
“Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord. And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all. But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.”
“For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit; to another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit; to another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues: but all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will.” (1 Corinthians 12:4-11 KJV)
7. Bear His fruit in us as we walk in the spirit
“This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would. But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law. Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these;”
“Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.”
“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.” (Galatians 5:16-25 KJV)
In conclusion
The simple secret to recieve the ministry of the Holy Ghost is in WAITING, THE MORNING WATCH, QUIET TIME, FASTING AND PRAYING, MINISTERING TO THE LORD.
Join me as we spend the next few days waiting for the sweet influences of the Holy Spirit. Schedule time to pray, sing, read, listen, relax, and journal.
Find a quiet place, switch off the lights, sit or lie down, and start by praying in tongues or meditating on the word.
Stay blessed!
