[Acts 26:15-18 KJV] “And I said, Who art thou, Lord? And he said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest. But rise, and stand upon thy feet: for I have appeared unto thee for this purpose, to make thee a minister and a witness both of these things which thou hast seen, and of those things in the which I will appear unto thee;”
“delivering thee from the people, and from the Gentiles, unto whom now I send thee, to open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.“
I have been trying to reduce everything to the basics. I have been striving to understand what God is up to among the Gentiles; and the call of Apostle Paul began to shed light on this. In the call of Apostle Paul, the Lord makes it clear that the Gentiles nations have three key problems:
- Blindness
- Darkness
- Satanism and superstition
These were the key problems of the Gentiles: blindness, darkness, and satanism. We know that every Gentile nation was not enlightened concerning the things of God, especially concering the way, the truth, and the light. God was committed to save the Gentile nations from moral decadence and godlessness.
At the brink of time and the beginning of the dispensation of grace, God called the apostle with the assignment to;
- To open their eye;
- Turn the Gentiles from darkness to light.
- Turn us from Satan to God; so that God will forgive and give us an inheritance among them that are saved
The simple steps to effectively do this to;
- Put your faith in Christ and renew your mind (Preach Christ and push for repentance)
- Don’t be ignorant concerning spiritual gifts (See 1 Corinthians 12:1ff). Let us study and wait on our gifts. Manifestation of spiritual gifts are so important to soulwinning in gentile communities.
- Strive for the demonstration of the spirit and power (See 1 Corinthians 2;4) Let us strive to preach with the demonstration of the spirit and power. Let us trust God to manifest Himself among us daily as we meet to worship.
Stay blessed!
