[Habakkuk 3:2 KJV] “O LORD , I have heard thy speech, and was afraid: O LORD , revive thy work in the midst of the years, In the midst of the years make known; In wrath remember mercy.”
Honestly, we all know that we need a revival and an awakening but it is important to note that no revival takes place in a vacuum. There must always an agent or person who God can trust with the torch of revival. God is looking for a man and God must find a man. There is always a man at the centre of every revival. This is the time for yet another awakening that will translate the church to higher glory.
The church is in her days of glory and splendour, but God is waiting in us. He is waiting for that man who is ready to pay the price for the revival. Our prayer and desire today is that God will touch and raise men who will ascend the watchtowers and begin to watch. God is waiting on us. God is looking for a man! Get ready to be used.
One man in history said that the kind of person that God uses to initiate revival must possess certain characteristics. That man or woman must manifest the following;
- Deep earnestness; the man or woman must manifest a desperate desire to see God move. The man God will use to bring the revival must have a deep desire for souls and the love of God.
- Unwavering faith and great patience
- A separated living
- A determination and willingness to labour fearlessly
- Deep spirituality
- Non-conformity to the world
- Fervency in prayer
I have no doubt that God will revive His works in the midst of the years! I know that God will find and count us faithful for minstry. This is the time and season. This is the time and I pray that God will send us a revival.
