1 Corinthians 2:4-5 KJV — And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man’s wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power: [5] that your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.
Your faith must be built on the right foundation, if it will last the test of time, the storms of doubt and fear, and the leech of contradictions. There always comes a time when fear and doubt will try to steal your faith; your faith might fail if it is not built on the right foundations. It is important to understand that the surest foundation that can keep your faith secure is the demonstration of the spirit and power.
When men encounter the mighty manifestations of the Spirit, like the mighty rushing wind and the cloven tongues of fire, the changing of the countenance of Jesus Christ on the mountain of transfiguration, the burning bush that Moses saw; these men receive a solid foundation for their faith. You don’t need to speak a word to convert a man who has an encounter with the physical manifestations of the Spirit and of Power. I pray that God will manifest Himself to us to give our faith solid foundations.
May we desire the manifestations of the spirit and of power. May we join the early Missionaries and Song Writers to sing Spirit divine, attend our prayers. May the Spirit of God come to our prayer meeting as the light to us reveal; may He come as the fire to purge our hearts! May you encounter the demonstration of the Spirit and of Power, that your faith will be grounded in the power of God.
Examples of these demonstrations are the mighty rushing wind that filled the upper room on the day of Pentecost, the cloven tongues of fire that settled on the church in the upper room; the cloud that led Israel by day and the pillar of fire by night as they journeyed from Egypt to the Promised Land; other examples are the spontaneous out burst of utterance in the house of Cornelius as Peter was testifying about Jesus! There are times when the place of prayer will shake with power as in Acts 4:30 ff. May you have an encounter that will give your faith, foundation to withstand the storm of fear and doubt that tries to steal your faith.
May the Lord show Himself to us as He did to Moses in the burning bush! May He give us an encounter as He gave Peter, James, and John on the Mount of Transfiguration! May people witness and testify of the tangible presence of God in your life! May our meetings and fellowship be characterized by mighty manifestations of His presence and power as He did in the Azusa Street revivals!

- As I lift up my voice and pray, may I experience and encounter mighty manifestations of the Spirit and of Power as did Moses; Peter, James and John; the kings of Babylon; even the early church on the day of Pentecost; visit us with your mighty manifestations!
- As I lift my voice and pray, manifest yourself to me and all those around me. May the people I witness to experience the same dimension of mighty manifestations as did the household of Cornelius!
