[Acts of the Apostles 10:1-8 NLT]” In Caesarea there lived a Roman army officer named Cornelius, who was a captain of the Italian Regiment. He was a devout, God-fearing man, as was everyone in his household.”
“He gave generously to the poor and prayed regularly to God. One afternoon about three o’clock, he had a vision in which he saw an angel of God coming toward him. “Cornelius!” the angel said. Cornelius stared at him in terror. “What is it, sir?” he asked the angel.”
“And the angel replied, “Your prayers and gifts to the poor have been received by God as an offering! Now send some men to Joppa, and summon a man named Simon Peter. He is staying with Simon, a tanner who lives near the seashore.”
“As soon as the angel was gone, Cornelius called two of his household servants and a devout soldier, one of his personal attendants. He told them what had happened and sent them off to Joppa.”
The Bible teaches that it is more blessed to give than to receive; we, therefore, have a great example in Apostle Paul. I wish above all things that those of us walking in the truth shall be in health and prosper even as our souls prosper. I pray that God will entrust more than a prospered soul unto us. May God entrust health and true riches to us in the name of Jesus Christ!
Now we know that it is the blessing of the Lord that makes rich and adds no sorrow to it. This blessing can be accessed through an open heaven; and the secret to an open heaven for blessing is prayer and giving.
[Acts of the Apostles 20:35 NLT] “And I have been a constant example of how you can help those in need by working hard. You should remember the words of the Lord Jesus: ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’”
The truth is, hard work pays but the secret to true riches is liberality. Being generous is what opens the floodgates of prosperity and increase.
If you want heaven to open for blessings and prosperity, then you must learn to give and pray. Your prayer and charity shall open heaven over you. The Prophet Malachi taught that if we bring the offerings and tithes to the house of God, He will open heaven and pour us His blessings till we overflow! Learn to pray and give generously. A liberal soul shall be made fat!
Stay blessed
