[Hebrews 4:7 NLT] “So God set another time for entering his rest, and that time is today. God announced this through David much later in the words already quoted: “Today when you hear his voice, don’t harden your hearts.””

Under the new covenant, there is nothing magical about the new year. Even though there is everything to grab on a new day. “The steadfast love of the Lord new ceases, his mercies never comes to an end; they are new every morning …”. I know many of us look forward to a new year, but whatever happened 31st December can happen on 31st March, 3rd January, or any other day. You can step into your new dimension of rest and increase on any day in which you are ready to believe and add works to your faith.

God has spoken and He is ready to redeem the promise on any day in which you are ready. The day you believe and act on the word is the beginning of your change. That is why He says the new day is today, so that any day can be that day for you. I wish you will not postpone change and increase to new year’s eve, but to see each day as a fresh opportunity to act and see God move for you.

Listen, there will be no difference between 2019 and 2020 except there is a different you with a new mind set. The new prophecies are only spoken to shape our mind set and focus our hearts on what God wants to do in us. We must be ready to reshape our minds and thoughts on the new things God is about to do.

You are transformed by the renewing of your mind and not by the renewing of the years. Let us decide to be transform by the renewing of the minds and not by the renewing of the years. A new year will require a new you to bring new results. If we continue in this new year with the same old attitudes, we will get the same old results.

1. Be willing to sacrifice:

Until you decide to sacrifice and suffer, you are not ready for the new beginning your are professing. People will spite and reject you because of your decision to work towards new results. This is the time to vow to offer yourself as a living sacrifice. Remember, not everyone is going where you are heading; you can’t wait for every one if you will arrive there safely.

[Romans 12:1‭ KJV] “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service”.

2. Don’t conform to the world:

Anybone who is not ready to be different from the world is not ready to get different results. You can’t talk like the world, speak like the world, dress like the world, and think like the world and expect different results. You must be ready to be separated. Don’t conform to the pattern of the world, period!

[Romans 12:2 KJV] “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God”.

3. Renew your mind:

Allow the many teachings and preaching you hear to renew your mind if you want to be transformed. The same mindset will yield the same result. The mindset must first change if the results would be different. We need a new mindset for a new year and great change will come.

[Romans 12:3 KJV] “For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith”

Remember, there is nothing magical about a new year, you need a new you to walk into the new dimension that God has promised. God will help and take us far when we begin to transform and change!

Be blessed, I love you!

Prayer:

Dear Lord, please help me make the necessary changes that will make me new. I accept that any day can be my day if I am ready to believe and act by faith. Amen!
