Day 14 of 21 Days of Breaking Limits
[2 Thessalonians 3:1-5 KJV] “Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may have free course, and be glorified, even as it is with you: [2] And that we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men: for all men have not faith. [3] But the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep you from evil. [4] And we have confidence in the Lord touching you, that ye both do and will do the things which we command you. [5] And the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God, and into the patient waiting for Christ”.
There comes a time when the church ought to stand by the servants that God has sent to them. We must stand with the pastor loyally through the thick and thin. We must decide to labour with the man of God in his endeavours, and never stand indifferent.
No pastor can stand and succeed alone. Every servant of God needs helpers to stand with him. We need to stand and fight for more grounds. God is counting on us to stand with the men in uniform. These are the men who fight for us to enjoy the peace and safety to go to work.
Three simple ways to stand with your pastors is to;
1. Pray for him:
Pray that the word of God which they preach will have a free course with others as it had with you. There are times when the word of God does not have a free course. There comes a time when there is resistance and opposition to the word as it is being preached.
2. Do the things he commands:
We must be committed to do the things he teaches and commands, and report those who disobey on his blind side, with fear . You must do what he commands and report those who don’t.
3. Wait with him patiently to the end:
Don’t let our labour be in vain. May you stand to the end, determined to end, and won’t allow anyone to rob you of your crown in Christ. As your pastor, you are my crown and my joy.
We understand that when Ruth (the church) followed Naomi (the pastor); she was not following because of the promise of getting a husband, wealth or children; she was determined to continue with Naomi even after death had parted them. Ruth followed to belong and to stick with Naomi. We are also making a decision that come hell or high water, we will stick together. You will stick by me and I will stick by you.
I will rebuke you when you are wrong; rebuke me when I am wrong, but we will forever stick together. We will find better ways of dealing with our differences but deserting is not a thought or an option.
Prayer Points
#1. Lift your voice and let us adorn the Lord:
Let us lift the might name of the Lord on high. Let us celebrate the goodness of the Lord of the Harvest. Give God glory and show forth His goodness.
#2. Pray that the Lord Shall let His word have its free course with others as it had with us:
We command every barrier set up against the course of the word to be broken in the name of Jesus. We command every heart to be receptive to the word as it is being preached.
May the Lord touch many hearts and help them to yield to the word in the name of Jesus Christ.
#3. Lift up prayer that the Lord shall deliver our pastor from every orchestrations of wicked and unreasonable men:
We bind every accusing tongue! We silence the voice of the accuser!
May the Lord purge contempt and reproach out of his life! May he win over wickedness and false brethren!
#4. Pray that the faithful God shall establish you and keep everyone of us from evil:
May the Lord be your defense and fortress! May He be a shield unto you from the stormy blast!
God! Establish us! Give us roots in You. Help us to stand firm!
#5. Pray that the Lord shall grace us to do what our pastor has taught and commanded:
We will walk in the ways of the Lord by the truth and the life that flows from the word.
#6. Pray that the Lord shall direct our hearts into His love and into the patience of waiting for Him.
Father draw us into Your love. Give us an enduring grace and love. Help us to love and love with all that we have.
On this 14th day of 21 Days of Breaking Limits, we make a choice to stand with our pastor. We decide to both love him and fight a common enemy. Lord help us to stand by our pastor and his family.
You will be blessed as you make a decision to stand and partner with me. Stand with me and see the hand of the Lord build us together. As you stand with your pastor, may the Lord stand with you. May He be our defense and fortify us to fight for victory in the mission field!
Be blessed; I love you!
