Psalm 112:1-10 KJVS — Praise ye the Lord. Blessed is the man that feareth the Lord, that delighteth greatly in his commandments. [2] His seed shall be mighty upon earth: the generation of the upright shall be blessed.
[3] Wealth and riches shall be in his house: and his righteousness endureth for ever. [4] Unto the upright there ariseth light in the darkness: he is gracious, and full of compassion, and righteous.
[5] A good man sheweth favour, and lendeth: he will guide his affairs with discretion. [6] Surely he shall not be moved for ever: the righteous shall be in everlasting remembrance.
[7] He shall not be afraid of evil tidings: his heart is fixed, trusting in the Lord. [8] His heart is established, he shall not be afraid, until he see his desire upon his enemies.
[9] He hath dispersed, he hath given to the poor; his righteousness endureth for ever; his horn shall be exalted with honour. [10] The wicked shall see it, and be grieved; he shall gnash with his teeth, and melt away: the desire of the wicked shall perish.
If you want to raise a generation of mighty men and woman,
1. Fear the Lord and delight in his commandments
The Bible says the generation of those who fear the Lord shall be mighty in the land! More often than not the succeeding generation learns from what we do than what we teach (See Psalm 112)
2. Strive to know the scriptures from your childhood, that is the only way they can be wise unto salvation.
No amount of advice can transform a man except the truth and the grace of God that teaches all men to abstain from godless lust. You must from your childhood, strive to know the scriptures to become wise unto salvation!
Only knowledge of the scriptures can make one wise unto salvation. Anytime you reject the scriptures, you have rejected the wisdom for safe living. Anybody who is ignorant of what the scriptures say is a fool and trekking on a dangerous path. (See 2 Timothy 3:16-18)
2. Prepare the succeeding generation to understand that when we seek the kingdom and the righteousness of God first, all other things that the world is chasing shall be added unto us.
The whole world is in a rat race but when we seek first the kingdom and the righteousness of God, all other things the world is chasing after shall be added unto us! (SeeMatthew 6:33)
4. Prepare your generation to understand that life is not fair but we can always press on.
When the going gets tough, we may change the strategy but not the goal! It takes grits, grace, and guts to win! (See 1 Peter 1:13 onwards)
5. Prepare the generation to understand that talent and beauty will take you places but discipline will keep you there.
The hand of the diligent makes him bear rule.
6. Prepare this generation to be streetwise.
Please, in a time and generation like this, being street wise is not an option; it is a necessity! Prepare the generation with life skills and street wisdom! (See Luke 10:1-4)
7. If we really want to occupy the earth till Jesus Christ comes back, we must trade with a product, service, skills, or money.
[Luke 19:13] We can not occupy the land, until we begin to trade; we must sell something! A generation that sells nothing will remain servants and impoverished!
Even the truth must be bought! Truth is not for sale but you can never know the truth, except you buy into it (See Proverbs 23:24). There is no way you can know the truth, except you are ready to buy it!
Stay blessed
