We know that every child of God walks by faith and not by sight. As matter of fact, any man who walks by sight will stumble and fall.
Any man who walks by sight will be limited in how far he or she can go. Positivity is important but faith is better. The apostles taught clearly that we must walk by faith if we want to enter the kingdom of God. Indeed, “what shall it profit a man if he gains the whole world and loses his soul?”
[Acts 14:21-22 KJV] “And when they had preached the gospel to that city, and had taught many, they returned again to Lystra, and to Iconium, and Antioch, Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.”
If we must continue in the faith, then there is a strategy to be able to do it. How can we continue in the faith? What are some of the helpful tips to help us continue in the faith? Some simple tips to walk by faith and not by sight are:
- Strive to know the will of God through His word.
- Be persuaded that it is better to walk with God in darkness than alone in the light.
- Be filled with the Holy Spirit and maintain fellowship with Him.
- Prepare yourself to walk to the end of the road.
- Keep the morning watch and do not forsake the assembling together of ourselves.
- Love not the world nor anything in it.
- Think it not strange when you go through diverse temptations; it is to try your faith.
These are seven simple tips to walk by faith and not by sight. It is too dangerous to keep walking by sight and not by faith. This is the time to shift and begin to walk by faith and not by sight. This is the beginning of that day and moment.
