“For every one shall be salted with fire, and every sacrifice shall be salted with salt. Salt is good: but if the salt have lost his saltness, wherewith will ye season it? Have salt in yourselves, and have peace one with another.” (Mark 9:49-50 KJV)
Today, we want to look at why many are discouraged. Indeed, many people are discouraged, especially pastors and missionaries because they confuse intensity with impact.
Are pouring too much into too little? Remember, when you pour too much into too little, you are bound to be frustrated. This is why many are frustrated. They are impatient with the pace of grace.
They are like the immatured farmer who pours more fertilizer than what the plant needs; and the plant dies. Saltiness becomes a nuisance when you pour too much into too little. Many of us are frustrated with our calling and tools because we are pouring too much into too little. The fact that I bought you a bag of salt does not mean that you should pour half of it into a bowl of soup for me.
Anyone of us will make impact if we spend time to understand where our input is really needed. Sometimes, instead of spending all your time, preaching to empty chairs in the auditorium; you might as well move to the lorry station and have an outdoor teaching service.
You will not miss your season. You will make a difference and never be discouraged.
Stay blessed, I love you!
